The company is hiring a CNC Machine Operator who will operate computer numerical control machines to cut, shape, or form metal workpieces according to specifications and perform all duties associated with CNC Machine Operators.

Education Level

Work Experience

• 1-2 years of experience operating CNC Machines
• Must be mechanically inclined

Duties/Responsibilities

• Analyzes any production difficulties and reports the same to the CNC Specialist or Production Supervisor.
• Maintains required paperwork (i.e., production logs, scrap tickets, etc.)
• Measures for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, functional gages, and blueprints.
• Notifies CNC Specialist 2, CNC Specialist 3, or the Supervisor of job completion or any discrepancies.
• Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as work or damaged cutting tools.
• Reviews specifications to determine the machining sequence, checks part dimensions against blueprints, and operates the machine. Works to the production schedule.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Experienced in routine machine and tool upkeep
• Monitors output to meet tight tolerances and specs
• Proficient in setting up and adjusting CNC machines
• Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
