Job Profile

The company is hiring a Senior Welder Technician with a strong understanding of metals and equipment. It shows proof of experience using them to assemble and fabricate structures made of metal.

Use equipment such as welders, shapers, cutters, and other measuring tools. A welder is responsible for producing products according to the employer’s or customer’s specifications and standards.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience

License/Certification

• Forklift and Man lift Certified
• Certified Welder – Mig, Tig, and Rod

Duties/Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Capable of resolving issues as they arise
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
• Maintain a consistent flow of work on time
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Proficient at various types of metal fabrication
• Troubleshoot equipment issues
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and nights when necessary
• Confined Space trained
• CPR and First Aid trained
• Fall protection trained
• MSHA Trained
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Valid Driver’s License

Work Environment

• Stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• Work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Some jobs could work under harsh conditions, including a dirty environment, air contamination, intense noise, and restricted movement.
• May require periods of work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
