Job Profile

The company is looking for a CNC Programmer who will be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings to define the configuration of parts and determine the type and sequence of machine operations.

Develop programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools, selecting the proper cutters and program routines for efficient calculation of dimensional and machining requirements.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

  • Experience with CNC Machining Processes
  • Experience with programming 3 and 4 Axis CNC equipment
  • Experience in GibbsCAM, Siemens NX, or MasterCam
  • Experience with Fanuc, Mazak, and Siemens-based controllers is a plus
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement projects
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of new tools and processes
  • Experienced in tooling and fixturing designs
  • Experience with programming 5 Axis CNC equipment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Analyzing engineering drawings to define the configuration of parts and determine the type and sequence of machine operations
  • Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure programs meet production requirements and optimize machine performance
  • Developing and writing programs for numerically controlled machines using engineering specifications and drawings
  • Developing programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools
  • Investigating advancements in machining, tooling, and work-holding technologies
  • Selecting proper cutters and program routines for efficient calculation of dimensional and machining requirements
  • Testing and modifying existing parts programs for engineering changes or program improvements

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate, resolve issues, and deliver presentations to a diverse set of customers regarding complex technical issues
  • Ability to multitask, outstanding effective interpersonal skills, and a consistent track record of teambuilding
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-organization relationships
