Job Profile

The company is looking for a Fitter/Welder to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of welding experience or ability to pass specified weld tests
• Flux Core experience
• Metal Core experience
• MIG welding experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Fit and complete final welds or multi-pass welds
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
• Layout and cut complex subassemblies of the final product
• Layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
• Maintain and complete all required records
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Other job duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
• Ability to read blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders
• Comply with all company Policies
• Follow all safety rules and practices

Work Environment

• The work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
• May require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Hard hats, ear protection, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes are required.
