The company is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, required

License/Certification

• Certificate in Machining Technologies or equivalent experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert and train co-workers as requested
• Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
• Communicate with managers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues
• Complete inspection reports as required and repair any defects found, and document critical quality information as necessary
• Cross-train in other areas of Operations (assembly, shipping, and receiving). Develop proficiency in multiple areas to assist in other areas as business needs change
• Deburr parts as needed
• Document outstanding issues, either written or verbally, to ensure a smooth transition between shifts
• Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area, complying with all 5S initiatives, and advise
• Monitor machine functions to ensure that parts are manufactured to defined specifications
• Perform first piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to the machine to ensure parts are formed to the designated tolerances
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally
• Plan machine set-ups, position workpieces, and operate various machines through production runs to form specified quantities of piece parts to specified tolerances.
• Review work order, pull necessary equipment, position work piece, and operate various machines through production runs to form specified quantities to defined tolerances
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints/Technical Drawings
• Ability to perform various machining operations in accordance with part specifications

Work Environment

• Exposed to noise and metal debris
• Operates precision machinery under strict safety protocols
• Requires safety gear like goggles and gloves
• Stands for long periods during shifts
• Works in manufacturing or machine shop environments
