The company is hiring a Pipefitter Helper who will be responsible for executing helper duties to assist the assigned crew.

Education Level

• High School Diploma (credible)

Work Experience

• Industrial construction/maintenance industry experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: location, quantities, and sizes of materials required
• Lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products
• Set up face block, jigs, and fixtures
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points onto the floor or face block and transpose them to the workpiece, using tape, chains, a plumb bob, and squares
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps of bolt parts in positions for welding or riveting

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Exposed to heat, cold, noise, and confined spaces
• Handles heavy pipes, tools, and materials
• Must wear safety gear at all times
• Often works in teams under tight deadlines
• Works outdoors and indoors on construction or industrial sites

Work Environment

• Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
