Job Profile
The company is looking for a Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter to join its team for various shipbuilding works.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should possess a Red Seal Certification
Work Experience
- Possess industrial construction experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to comprehend isometric and P&ID drawings
- Ability to work together with a welder to produce quality fit-up of pipe joints
- Able to climb ladders and work at heights
- Comfortable working in restricted and confined spaces
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy in cutting, measuring, and layout
- Experience in all types of rigging
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and applicable welding procedures
- Must be able to provide a square and accurate cuts with a grinder
- Understand a variety of pipe systems and their function
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work positively in a team environment
- Demonstrated passion for safety and environmental stewardship
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language
- Must be able to work in a construction environment involving confined spaces, working at heights, physical labour, and various weather conditions
