Job Profile

The company is looking for a Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter to join its team for various shipbuilding works.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should possess a Red Seal Certification

Work Experience

• Possess industrial construction experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to comprehend isometric and P&ID drawings
• Ability to work together with a welder to produce quality fit-up of pipe joints
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights
• Comfortable working in restricted and confined spaces
• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy in cutting, measuring, and layout
• Experience in all types of rigging
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and applicable welding procedures
• Must be able to provide a square and accurate cuts with a grinder
• Understand a variety of pipe systems and their function

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work positively in a team environment
• Demonstrated passion for safety and environmental stewardship
• Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
• Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language
• Must be able to work in a construction environment involving confined spaces, working at heights, physical labour, and various weather conditions
