Job Profile

The company is searching for an ACME Machinist I who will load and unload parts in operation of 2-5 axis CNC/Automated mill and lathe machine tools to produce complex machined aerospace parts.

Responsible for in-process inspection of machined products, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand-measuring tools, and documentation.

Responsible for some deburr operations as well as basic preventative machine maintenance, which includes coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

• 1 year of minimum experience in industry or related field.
• Preferred certification in CNC operations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Completes work order documentation in accordance with AS9100 quality standards
• Inspects produced components per blueprint using standard inspection techniques
• Loads/unloads parts in the provided work holding method per setup
• Operate CNC mills or lathes
• Replaces broken cutting tools/inserts as needed
• Light Maintenance Duty of equipment

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should know basic computer use. Applicant should be familiar with CNC machining methods.

Physical Requirements

• Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Frequently work near heavy machinery or equipment
• Demands of a manufacturing environment
