Job Profile

The company is seeking an Aerospace Machinist (Manual VTL/CNC Milling) who will set up and perform a normal range of operations on conventional and special purpose machines, turning machines and various types of machine tools to repair aircraft parts.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess 2-3 years of minimum machining experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal and manual vertical lathes, milling and grinding machines, VTLs, Jig Bores, Bridgeports, rubber grinding, Prototrack, drill presses, and other special shop equipment for repair of parts.
• Work from process travelers, blueprints, parts drawings, manuals, specifications, and verbal directions to determine proper dimensions and tolerances of finished part sequence of operation and setup requirements.
• Measure mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be able to communicate, read, and write in English.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively individually or as part of a team.

Knowledge-

• Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and the division of numbers including decimals fractions; simple use of formulas and specifications, where interpretation is required involving basic skill knowledge.

Initiative/Ingenuity-

• Use of some judgment to comply with methods and instructions making minor decisions.

Physical Demands

• Moderate physical demand frequently lifting or moving average weight material.
• Continuous mental and visual attention; usually repetitive work or diversified operations requiring constant alertness or activity.
