Job Profile
The company is looking for an Aerospace Structural Welder who will perform standard cutting and welding operations including repair work and new fabrication activities based on carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized pipe, plate, structural shapes, etc.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using a cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.
Educational Qualification
- No education level is mentioned, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- ASW Trained with Proficiency in the following GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and Oxy-fuel or brazing (required)
- Some metalworking experience is preferred such as the operation of a metal shear, brake, pipe bending, and various cutting tools.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to obtain an approved status from the Contractor Verification System which includes a background check and obtaining Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) ID for base access
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- There is a great deal of standing, climbing, bending, and stooping
- Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell.
- Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
- Regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud or may include unsafe conditions, questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards, and providing feedback to supervisors and managers on all safety issues.
- May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
- The position may require travel.
