Job Profile
The company is recruiting an Alternative Fuels Tech I (A/C Crew) who will be responsible for the staging areas for incoming fuel, the stationary processing equipment itself, mobile equipment required to support job duties, and the delivery equipment for fuel to the pyro process.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct routine audits/inspections of the area in scope
- Ensure material flow is maintained
- Keeps the process area clean
- Keeps the process area organized in the field
- Lubricates equipment
- Perform lockouts and release the stored energy as required
- Performs repairs to equipment
- Resets 480V electrical equipment
- Responds to the central control room operator’s needs
- Supplies whole tires, PEF, and purchased chips to the process.
- Thoroughly understand the TDF reduction and handling process
- Troubleshoot equipment
- Write work orders
- Other duties as directed by the supervisor
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Be a self-starter
- Mobile equipment skills – will have or be able to demonstrate within 120 days
-Skid Steer
-Loader
-Forklift
-Yard mule
- Technical Skills – will have or develop within a maximum of 120 days
-Basic Mechanical knowledge
–Welding
-Rigging use of hoisting devices – slings, chokers, chain falls, come to a longs
-Use all manner of hand tools
Work Conditions
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 8 hrs.)
- Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven or slippery ground)
- Climb stairs and ladders as high as 200 feet in elevation
- Physical ability to climb on equipment
- Must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces
- Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings
- Drive automobiles to various plant sites and work locations. Must be able to travel (air/auto) overnight as needed
- Must work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, or dusty conditions and near hot kiln process
- Will have exposure to all levels of noise that require the use of hearing protection
- Exposure to cement, clay, limestone, and various lab chemicals. See MSDS for more details
