Job Profile

The company is searching for an Assembler who will assemble raw materials into assemblies and finished goods using machinery and hand tools.

Move material with lift trucks, and assist in loading and unloading trucks.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in a factory, shop, or warehouse setting

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Performs all mechanical assembly operations of sub-assemblies and some package assembly.
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, bills of material, and quality control documents.
  • Takes responsibility for quality and work content performed in the applicable operation by signing off on the appropriate documentation before indexing to the next step in the process.
  • Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work area and follows all safety rules and procedures.
  • Exhibits a high degree of manual dexterity with great attention to detail and workmanship.
  • Use of precision measuring devices.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Able to locate and understand assembly instructions for procedures, drawings, and standard work instructions.
  • Able to successfully complete assignments in a given time frame
  • Able to use common tools (drills, saws, plastic welders, etc.)
  • Able to use Company jigs and custom tools.
  • Basic computer skills such as accessing the internet and e-mail programs.
  • Exhibits a high degree of manual dexterity with great attention to detail and workmanship.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be familiar with plastic welding tools and their proper use.
  • Use of precision measuring devices.
  • Uses problem-solving skills (identify problems and respond correctly).
  • Verifies and inspects work according to standard work.
