Job Profile

The company is hiring an Assembler who will prep and assemble fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies.

Performance, quality preservation, organization, and efficiency are essential.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Accurately tags material and product according to product specifications.
  • Can accurately count and record production activity including picking, transfers, etc.
  • Can compute decimal equivalents and interchange fractions.
  • Can follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs.
  • Can identify hardware components used in assemblies.
  • Cross-train with the paint department
  • Understand cross-check concepts and inspect products according to the Inspections Control Plan
  • Other duties as required.

  • Have completed forklift certification training with the safety team to operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools, and air tools.
  • Record time accurately including “time and attendance” and “labor reporting” using the data collection system.
  • Some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.

Work Environment

  • Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease.
  • Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold, or humid.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds regularly, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with an assist.
