The company is looking for an Assembler who will be responsible for production, quality, and safety standards in assembling and packaging furniture products.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists team members in solving work problems.
- Communicate quality concerns/issues with the supervisor, engineering, and materials
- Confers with other team members to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate with members of the team to operate the cell most efficiently.
- Ensure all safety standards are being followed and unsafe acts or conditions are reported.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is performed as required.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate team members to achieve work goals.
- Inspect production materials.
- Interprets specifications, instructions, and job orders.
- Maintain the work area’s cleanliness and organization.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Meet production schedules.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and safety methods.
- Responsible for the completion and accuracy of cycle counts.
- Responsible for ensuring that specified quality verifications and procedures are followed and quality parts are produced.
- Responsible for filling out required paperwork.
- Responsible for pursuing further training opportunities for one’s self-advancement.
- Responsible for the training and development of new and current employees working on the product line.
- Responsible for understanding the non-conforming product procedure.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and product information books.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Work Environment
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently requires talking or hearing.
- Occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
