Job Profile

The company is searching for an Assembler who will perform tasks that are necessary to the production process by independently aiding in the fabrication, inspection, and packaging of parts and products.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assemble finished products from blueprints according to the specifications indicated on the blueprints.
  • Comply with all the ISO 9001 Quality standards, policies, and procedures of API.
  • Maintain tools and equipment provided for the assembly operations.
  • Maintain the work area in an organized manner.
  • Prepare units for shipment. Construct skids and boxes as required. Paints, stencils, and affixes nameplates as required.
  • Pull parts to assemble, test, and skid/pack per drawings, specifications, and procedures.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a functional knowledge of hand tools.

Work Environment

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot, cold, or humid conditions)
  • Exposure to noise, dust, odors, and manufacturing chemicals
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift).
  • Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to respond to alarms and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
  • Frequent use of hands and wrists for repetitive tasks (e.g., assembling, sorting, packaging).
  • Frequent walking throughout the production floor.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small parts or tools.
  • Occasional use of ladders or steps to reach equipment or storage areas.
  • Occasionally lift heavier items (up to 75 pounds) with assistance or equipment.
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read labels, safety signs, and equipment gauges.
  • Use of manual or mechanical means to push/pull carts, equipment, or materials.
