Job Profile
The company is looking for an Assembler I who will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by performing a variety of operations such as mounting, posting, and aligning parts, setting up equipment for testing, and maintaining production records to assemble comfort units to specifications.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- Prior carpentry/construction experience (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Able to mount, align, position, and assemble a variety of parts and components, including frames, compressors, fan assemblies, control boxes, coils, panels, motors, nuts, bolts, rivets, adhesives, etc., to completely assemble comfort units.
- Communicate effectively with the team and supervisors. You will need to coordinate with other assemblers to ensure smooth production flow and to troubleshoot any issues, including any shortages or outages.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace. Perform all other department duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Sweeping and straightening of the workplace is required for a safe and productive atmosphere.
- Package units and parts with all necessary components, including warranties and manuals. Choose the correct packaging materials to protect the nature of the product. This may include boxes, bubble wrap, foam inserts, plastic bags, or protective sleeves.
- Visually inspect assembled products to ensure that all parts are properly aligned, connected, and functioning correctly. You bring attention to detail to identify any visible flaws or issues that could affect quality.
- Work from blueprints and verbal instructions from the Supervisor.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Read and write English
