Job Profile

The company is looking for a Level 2 Assembler who will perform the assembly of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic devices in a production environment to yield sub-assemblies or completed products.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • The candidates should have 2 years of assembly/electronics experience or schooling in a STEM discipline is preferred

However, entry-level candidates will also be considered.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assembles close tolerance parts that may have unusual shapes and may require specialized joining techniques such as gluing, potting, pressing, soldering, and spot welding.
  • Assists with the training of less experienced personnel.
  • Completes required paperwork according to established procedures.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of Gatan’s manufacturing operations and related processes.
  • Performs adjustments and calibrations requiring the use of hand tools, small power tools, precision measuring devices and other specialized equipment including, but not limited to, arbor presses, vacuum test equipment, optical microscopes, electronic testing fixtures, and digital multi-meters.
  • Performs assembly of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic devices in a production environment to yield sub-assemblies or completed products.
  • Under general direction, works from interrelated manufacturing documents and verbal instructions to perform required tasks.

  • Ability to communicate information clearly and directly to co-workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be able to work under general direction, with the ability to evaluate issues and make independent decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges.

Language Skills-

  • Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English.
  • Ability to follow written instructions in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
