Job Profile
The company is hiring an Associate Designer who will be responsible for developing 3D models and engineering prints for entire exhaust systems or their components for any given vehicle platform.
Expect close collaboration with Engineering functions to make sure the design meets internal and customer requirements

Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to accurately build and maintain the Engineering Bill of Materials
- Accurately represent product tolerances and datum structure
- Complete design within the specified deadline
- Create complex 3D models that comply with vehicle packaging requirements and internal design guidelines
- Develop engineering prints with adequate tolerances and datum schemes
- Execution of design tasks as defined in the Engineering Change Management document (ECM)
- Present design proposals to the Engineering community
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Basic knowledge of APQP guidelines
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (welding and metal forming)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge and understanding of GD&T design rules
- Manage and prioritize several tasks at once
- Proficient in NX or CATIA, or CREO design software for 3D and 2D modeling
Work Environment
- Collaborates closely with teams and clients
- May face tight deadlines and fast-paced workloads
- Occasionally attends meetings or site visits
- Spends long hours on computers using design software
- Works primarily in office or studio environments
