Job Profile

The company is recruiting an Associate Manufacturing Engineer who will contribute as a member of the production support team. Activities include the development of production processes, procedures, and layouts for mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Support production through operator training, process issue resolution, and monitoring and evaluating existing operations for opportunities to improve efficiency, first-pass yield, and scrap rates.

Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience – College/University
• In place of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience

Work Experience

• 1 year or more experience in multi-tasking and interfacing with all levels of management and effectively interfacing with customers
• 1 year or more experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering design documents and develop the methods, processes, tools, jigs, fixtures, etc. required to fabricate the specified product
• Develop and prepare work instructions, control plans, Process Failure Mode Effects Analyses (PFMEAs), and process validation plans
• Lead the set-up and validation of new production lines and training
• Monitor production key performance indicators and respond accordingly to ensure goals are being met
• Analyze manufacturing production problems and implement corrective actions involving designs, materials, and processes
• Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing
• Conduct capacity analyses, capability studies, and gage repeatability and reproducibility studies

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience in the defense or aerospace industry
• Experience with 6sig, 8D,
• Experience with ANSI J-STD-001, AS9100, and ANSI Y14.5
• Experience with CostPoint, SAP, TipQA
• Experience with electronic or electromechanical assemblies
• Experience with pressing, staking, riveting, swaging, potting, electronics soldering, conformal coating, packaging, X-ray inspection, laser welding, robotics, and control systems
• Experience with SolidEdge and Minitab

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be a United States Citizen
• Must be able to obtain secret-level clearance
