The company is searching for an Auto Body Technician to join its team.
Education Level
- Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- Certification in body repair (preferred)
- I-CAR welding certified
Duties/Responsibilities
- Directs the work of an apprentice in performing tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions, and explains procedures to the assistant.
- Examines damaged vehicles and efficiently plans repair process.
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power and hand tools.
- Makes decisions on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
- Participates in all required safety meetings.
- Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
- Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicles and fenders.
- Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Knowledge of the vehicle repair process by the manufacturer
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
