Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• Certification in body repair (preferred)
• I-CAR welding certified

Duties/Responsibilities

• Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions, and explains procedures to the assistant.
• Examines damaged vehicles and efficiently plans repair process.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Makes decisions on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Participates in all required safety meetings.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicles and fenders.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to supervise repair personnel
• Knowledge of the vehicle repair process by the manufacturer
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
