The company is recruiting an Automation Technician to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Associate’s degree (preferred)
Work Experience
- 5+ years of automation technician experience within the Thermoforming and Extrusion industry.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment-related processing issues.
- Must possess the ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders/platforms
- On-call as needed by the department and able to be flexible with schedule as needed.
- Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment.
- Performs maintenance, set-up, and PM on automation equipment in Thermoforming and Extrusion.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Analytical, problem-solving, and strong electrical and PLC programming, technical skills, including mechanical.
- Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation.
Work Environment
- Exposure to electrical components and machinery
- Handles and maintains automated systems and robotics
- May work in confined spaces or elevated areas
- Requires precision, focus, and adherence to safety standards
- Works in industrial or manufacturing settings
