Job Profile
The company is recruiting a BIW Robot Programmer who will drive the automation and robotics strategies for BIW Production.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to study, develop, optimize, and ensure the successful integration of robotics technology into production systems.

Work Experience
- 1+ years of experience directly dealing with BIW robotic processes and techniques.
- At least 3+ years of experience in the automotive or similar industry.
- Work experience in robotics, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or a related field
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with existing manufacturing processes and equipment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions.
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap for implementing robotics and automation technologies within the BIW manufacturing processes.
- Develop and enforce safety standards and guidelines for the operation and maintenance of robotics equipment
- Ensure that all robotics systems meet the required quality standards and comply with safety regulations
- Lead and mentor a team of robotics engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement
- Optimize the workflows to increase productivity, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality while maintaining cost efficiency
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of robotics systems into the production line
- Plan, execute, and monitor robotics projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the defined objectives and timelines
- Prepare regular reports on welding process performance, improvements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Set clear performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and motivation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance, to align objectives and drive effective collaboration
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret system layouts, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of BIW manufacturing processes and equipment and assembly flow.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (AB, Siemens PLC).
- Strong knowledge of robotic and automation systems. (Fanuc, Kuka)
- Willingness to travel as required up to 25% of the time
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of experience in automotive robotic programming or similar industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics
- Self-starter mentality
Work Conditions
- Travel to support the business as required.
- May be required to sit for prolonged periods, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.
- May be required to lift up to 25 or more pounds, stand, sit, bend/stoop, or operate office equipment or machinery.
