The company is hiring a Body Shop Technician to join its heavy-duty body shops.
Education Level
- Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)
Work Experience
- 3 years of medium/heavy truck body shop experience (preferred)
- CDL (plus but not required)
- Fiberglass and Metal repair experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and a cutting torch
- Aim headlights
- Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment
- Can properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
- Make cosmetic repairs
- Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs
- Perform Fiberglass repairs
- Perform major and minor body repairs
- Perform steel and aluminum welding
- Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs
- Performs HVAC diagnostics and repairs
- Remove vehicle trim to gain access to the vehicle body
- Replace bolts on panels and align them properly
- Return the vehicle to factory specifications
- Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack
- Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
