Job Profile
The company is hiring a Branch Manager II who will sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, welding products and equipment, tools and hardware, and safety products.
Assist outside sales team in all aspects including, but not limited to preparing quotes, maintaining all required literature, providing customer follow-up, and gathering sales leads.
Control cost and monitor fiscal performance compared to budget.
Ensure the store in maintained in a clean and orderly manner and schedule staffing to ensure excellent customer service is available at all times with the purpose of achieving 100% customer satisfaction
Education Level
- Not mentioned, yet may require a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or distribution of gases and welding supplies or similar industrial products
- Minimum 1 year of experience with SAP
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the welding industry
- Minimum 2 years of prior demonstrated management or leadership experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Duties/Responsibilities
- Accurately completes and submits all sales-related paperwork (e.g., shippers, invoices, cylinder audits, month-end reports, cash reconciliations, deposits, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Coordinates activities with other branches or immediate branch personnel to resolve any customer, sales, or operational problems or inquiries. Issues are handled in a manner that enhances customer satisfaction.
- Coordinates sales promotion activities and is responsible for maintaining and stocking merchandise and displaying it so that it is attractive to customers. Maintains a clean and attractive store.
- Evaluate and monitor the day-to-day activities of a branch to ensure cost-effective operations and make changes to ensure the same when required.
- Lead and promote safety; organize safety meetings and strictly enforce safety rules.
- Manages all branch personnel in accordance with company policies by hiring, training, motivating, planning, and directing work, providing performance feedback, developing associates, and resolving associate issues.
- Participates in the preparation of market and competitor information and annual sales analysis and forecast.
- Responsible for timely and quality performance appraisals of assigned personnel.
- Works in accordance with all policies and procedures ad rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
- If internal, must have 6 months in current position.
- If internal, must not have any written disciplinary issues in the previous 6 months.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
