Job Profile

The company is seeking a Carbon/Stainless-Steel Welder (Flux-core) to join its team.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Work Experience

• Must have experience as a Welder in Industrial Construction
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen (no felonies within the last 7 years)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Follow all safety requirements
• Must be able to set up or troubleshoot welding machines as needed.
• Weld along vertical, horizontal, or overhead weld lines.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors.
• Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100+ feet, and in confined spaces.

Other Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be available to travel continuously throughout the US to jobs (IAFD pays for travel).
• Must be willing to support other crafts if need be
• Pass a Performance weld test
• Sound understanding of industrial construction safety.
