Job Profile
The company is seeking a CDL Driver who will be responsible for transporting the finished chassis to the customer.
Educational Qualification
- Not mentioned, may require a High School Diploma
- Lift Truck Operators License is preferred (training available)
Work Experience
- Work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assistance in repair work as necessary.
- Coordination of necessary paperwork at the time of departure, at the time of delivery, and at the time of return.
- Delivery of finished chassis to a customer following approved delivery routes and specified delivery areas.
- Final inspection of finished chassis and repair of minor defects.
- Maintenance of good housekeeping practices at all times.
- Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company.
- Preparation of finished chassis for transportation through appropriate stabilization and safety procedures.
- Receipt and delivery of miscellaneous goods as necessary or assigned.
- Rotation of position into production team structure as necessary.
- Unloading of finished chassis at appropriate destination through approved procedures.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
- Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects;
- Must be able to operate a Lift Truck or Tractor as necessary.
- Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes throughout the day.
- Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, and measurements.
- Must be able to rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as is deemed necessary.
- Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals.
- Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Must demonstrate competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities.
- Must demonstrate welding competency and knowledge of welding systems.
- Must possess successful problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling.
- May have to lift or move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Requires Personal Protective Equipment.
- Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes coating suits, coating boots, spray socks, respirators, work gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
- May be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).
