Job Profile

The company is looking for a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with Ultrasonic Shearwave Level II (UT Level II) who can-

• Assist engineers by performing a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and report data.
• Work from construction drawings, specifications, diagrams, ASTM standards, schematics, and specific verbal and written instructions
• Monitor fabrication and erection of structural steel members and joists

Educational Qualification

• The aspiring applicants must have a CWI certification obtained from the American Welding Society or another equivalent body.

Work Experience

• Structural steel inspection is required
• Documented training per ASNT-TC-IA
• Must have Level II Ultrasonic Shearwave Certification, practical hours, and classroom training
• Vertical on-site and in-plant fabrication structural steel inspections and NDE testing are required

Duties/Responsibilities

• Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) of welds
• Perform bolting inspections per Research Council RCSC/AISC criteria.
• Perform visual weld inspections, typically per AWS D1.1 and D1.8.
• Structural steel inspection is required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
• Proof of Clean Driving Record
