The company is hiring a Certified Welder to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant welding experience in a professional setting
- Experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment (preferred)
License/Certification
- Certification as a welder from an accredited program.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, protocols, and guidelines while working in the shop or on-site.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to discuss project progress and any technical difficulties encountered.
- Conduct inspections on welded products to guarantee structural integrity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure welds are completed to specified quality standards and regulations.
- Keep a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal working conditions and longevity.
- Perform welding operations on various materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and welding diagrams to understand project specifications and requirements.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices related to welding operations.
- Good physical condition and strength to handle equipment and materials.
- Proficiency in welding techniques such as Mig, Tig, and Stick welding.
Work Environment
- Exposed to heat, fumes, and bright arcs
- May work long hours or in tight spaces
- Must wear full protective safety gear
- Requires precision, focus, and physical endurance
- Work in industrial, construction, or repair settings
