Job Profile

The company is seeking a Chassis Prep to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical Degree (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 1+ years of Welding Experience
  • 1+ years of fabrication Experience
  • 1+ years of related experience or training (preferred)
  • 1+ years of torch gun (or similar) Experience
  • Experienced in a fast-paced production environment (preferred)
  • Mechanical Experience similar to car or truck body shop

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Employee operates a handheld plasma, huck gun, torch, air drill, and chain drill as part of their everyday duties.
  • Fabricate, install, and connect hydraulic hoses around the truck
  • Inspects work before the truck is moved on in the process
  • Installs some electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic components needed before the chassis mounting process.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Operates a forklift to move components as needed.
  • Review the truck chassis with the model of the hoist to be mounted and plan out what steps are necessary to complete the installation.
  • Welding (heavy metal) truck parts to Truck Frame
  • The supervisor/manager can assign other responsibilities

  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
