Job Profile
The company is seeking a CNC Grind Operator to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- 3+ years of experience in machining, measuring equipment, and CNC set-up and program editing.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints or work in-process documents.
- Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment when required.
- Utilize measuring tools to inspect parts.
- Operate and set up computerized numerical control machines-
- Lasers, CNC/EDM
- CNC machining centers
- CNC grinders
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, engineers, and co-workers.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Math and computer technology skills, as well as the ability to read and use measurement tools.
- Problem-solving ability.
Work Environment
- Frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to stand.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
