The company is seeking a CNC Grind Operator to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

• 3+ years of experience in machining, measuring equipment, and CNC set-up and program editing.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints or work in-process documents.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment when required.
• Utilize measuring tools to inspect parts.
• Operate and set up computerized numerical control machines-
• Lasers, CNC/EDM
• CNC machining centers
• CNC grinders

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, engineers, and co-workers.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Math and computer technology skills, as well as the ability to read and use measurement tools.
• Problem-solving ability.

Work Environment

• Frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Regularly required to stand.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
