The company is searching for a CNC Machine Operator who will set up and operate 3 and 5 Axis CNC Mills/CNC Lathes
Educational Qualification
- Not mentioned, may require a High School Diploma
Work Experience
- 1+ years of previous CNC experience (preferred but not required if on-the-job experience applies)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with the supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
- Follows all Company rules and safety policies.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly
- Moves the controls to position the tool and workpiece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
- Observe the operation of the machine and verify the conformity of the machined workpiece to specifications.
- Positions and secures workpieces in holding devices, machine tables, chuks, centers, or fixtures.
- Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, and depth of cut, and determines the sequence of operations.
- Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
- Selects, positions, and secures tools in the tool holder.
- Sets up fixture, and starts machine.
- Setup, layout, and operate various CNC lathes or mills
