Job Profile
The company is seeking a CNC Machine Operator who will be responsible for safely operating the CNC machine to manufacture products to the customer’s specifications.
Requires strong mathematical skills, great attention to detail, and works well in a team environment.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- 1+ years of related manufacturing experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Control the position of the tool and workpiece in relation to each other, set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Cross-train throughout the site to be able to support other areas, as needed.
- Inspect all finished product to confirm meets blueprint or job order specifications.
- Make recommendations and implement continuous improvement ideas.
- Perform minor machine maintenance, as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications, tooling instructions, and sequence of operations.
- Safely operate the CNC machine and tools
- Use all safety devices/tools to ensure the safe operation of CNC machines and ensure the work area is kept clean and organized.
- Visually and audibly observe the operation of the CNC machine to verify the conformance of the machined workpiece to specification and correct identified production issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and work to set tolerances and work from blueprints.
- CNC Set-sp or programming skills
- Proficient in accurate use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Trade School or Apprenticeship Program
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and 70 pounds with assistance and walk or stand for long periods of time.
