Job Profile
The company is looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Previous factory experience (required)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Able to inspect castings using various hand inspection tools, leak testers, and air gage equipment per part-specific work instructions.
- Able to operate all machines; CNCs, Shot Blaster, Vibratory, Drill Press, Belt Sander, and Hot Dip Wash Tanks per procedures and part-specific work instructions
- Carry out duties as the Machining and Finishing Dept. Supervisor and Lead Person specifies
- Complete P-Charts as needed
- Enter good and bad pieces counts into the Guardian
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Maintain records of inspections
- Must support and follow the QMS requirements
- Observe all Boyd safety and OSHA guidelines and procedures
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to complete shop paperwork.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions/requests from managers, clients, customers, and the general public in English.
- Ability to read and understand the company quality policy in English.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to use gauges as needed.
- Basic knowledge of machining practices.
- Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork in English).
- Ability to communicate with employees on a professional level at all times
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch tools, equipment, or controls.
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities are required for this job and include close and distance vision, color, peripheral vision, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment
- The noise level is usually loud to extremely loud in a working environment.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic, caustic chemicals and hazardous materials.
