The company is looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Work Experience
- Experience setting up and operating computer-and mechanically controlled machine tools, such as CNC Machines, grinders, drill presses, and hydraulic presses.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental policies and procedures
- Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required and have the ability to correct these issues to meet the production team’s goal.
- Develop work-holding requirements
- Document actions by completing work order routings.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s overall objectives
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to NOV safety policies and procedures.
- Meeting established company production goals.
- Participate in actions that promote a safety and quality culture within NOV
- Possess strong knowledge and fundamentals to be able to train more Jr. level machinists.
- Process remaining parts while conducting constant checks and inspections to ensure dimensional and surface finish requirements are met for the entire part run.
- Proof programs without assistance
- Report problems to responsible management levels.
- Set up and operate CNC Machines for the first article to prove out program and set up instructions.
- Set up and operate CNC Machines with no assistance under minimal supervision
- The ability to be flexible/adaptable to work on CNC machines across multiple manufacturers.
- Validate machine programs and work instructions before machining to ensure the accuracy of operations under minimal supervision
- Work as a team player with others in a demanding fast-paced environment to meet frequently changing production.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Plant Manager
