The company is recruiting a CNC Machine Operator to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma (credible)

Work Experience

  • Previous machine operation experience (required)

License/Certification

  • CNC machine certification (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adjusts the machine according to specifications
  • Attaches fixtures to the machine according to setup instructions
  • Cleans machine parts and performs machine maintenance
  • Interprets complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done
  • Manipulates controls to start the machine
  • Measures workpiece for conformance to specifications
  • Notifies the Supervisor of discrepancies
  • Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions
  • Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to ensure maintenance of quality standards and specifications
  • Performs a variety of related operations to close and interrelated tolerances
  • Performs diversified operations on numerically controlled machines
  • Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerically controlled machines, i.e., Mills, Lathes, Routers, or saws, to machine plastic or metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties
  • Reviews the setup sheet and specifications to determine the sequence and dimensions of the finished workpiece

  • Loud noise and moving machinery
  • Standing for extended periods

Work Environment

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Certain areas of the work environment may have elevated noise levels and require hearing protection.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
