The company is hiring a CNC Machining Operator to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• Previous machine shop experience, training, or technical training

Duties/Responsibilities

• Actively perform work to ensure Continuous Improvement criteria are met as outlined
• May perform external minor assembly operations or drilling operations while the machine is running.
• May perform minor preventive maintenance per A.M. or P.M. procedures.
• Must be able to set and adjust various cutting tools to set up instructions and place them in the machine tool changer.
• Must perform daily maintenance care on assigned equipment as specified.
• Must set up the machine from detailed set-up procedures including placing the fixture on the machine table/pallet in the correct position as per the set-up instructions and bolting/securing the fixture in position.
• Observe machine operation and verify conformance of the workpiece to specifications using fixed gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other standard measuring equipment as required.
• Set up and operate metal removal type CNC- computer numerated controlled machines that perform various operations and remove metal by drilling, tapping, boring, milling, and spot facing according to specifications.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of CNC equipment and operation.
• Must be able to comprehend and follow through on verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must understand and be able to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Must understand computer controls and logic to adjust cutting speeds/pressure gauges.
• Must understand cutting tool geometry and determine tool condition.
