Job Profile

The company is hiring a CNC Machinist who will be responsible for performing set-up and operating CNC machine tools, checking processed work against job specifications for a variety of life support, air-to-air refueling, and personal survival equipment systems.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Work Experience

• Experience with CNC programming and processes

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 + years of experience with the setup and operation of CNC Mills and Lathe machines.
• 3+ years of experience with operating Mazak and Mazatrol-controlled machines.
• 3 + years of experience with CNC programming and processes.
• 3+ years of experience reading, interpreting, and evaluating a variety of readouts and presentations including blueprints, analysis sheets, sketches, written instructions, etc., in order to obtain job specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Inspect own parts and obtain first article approval when required
• Obtain information on job requirements from a variety of readouts and presentations including blueprints, analysis sheets, sketches, and written and oral instructions, to produce quality products
• Perform all common types of machining including turning, drilling, boring, facing, forming, reaming, tapping, threading, knurling, slotting, burnishing, chamfering, and deburring
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Set up and operate associated manual machines (drill press, milling machine, saw, etc.) as required
• All other related duties as assigned

• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills
• Setup and operation of CNC Mills and Lathe machines
• The ability to read, interpret, and evaluate a variety of readouts and presentations including blueprints, analysis sheets, sketches, written instructions, etc., in order to obtain job specifications

• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• This position requires the use of information or access to hardware that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 70-mile radius of Davenport, IA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
