Job Profile
The company is searching for a CNC Machinist with the ability to set up and operate both CNC and manual machinery, to produce metallic parts to customer specifications.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years of related experience or training;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with close tolerance practices of +/- .010 or less, in a manufacturing environment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
- Conducts pre-operation inspections to ensure the machine is ready to be operated in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policies and safety procedures.
- Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
- Produces daily production reports, inspections, and other reports as directed by the supervisor
- Reads and executes daily production schedule as directed by supervisor
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machinery.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts machine controls or control media as required, and reports problems to supervisor as necessary
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications and stops production if any part is detected to be out of specification
- Will confer with the Machine Shop Supervisor to resolve machining problems.
- Will measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Understand how to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
