Job Profile
The company is hiring a CNC Machinist who will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC Mills and Lathes in order to produce parts for engineering technical drawings.
Identify and use proper tools, gages, and equipment for the process.
Education Level
- Minimum a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution (required)
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in trade as a Machinist or tool maker
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assisting Manufacturing Engineering with most intermediate troubleshooting on machining products.
- Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency (cost).
- Inspect GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) features using basic inspection techniques such as vernier, micrometers, indicators, comparators, and bore mics.
- Interpret and edit “G-code” NC programs
- Interpret blueprints generated per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 guidelines (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing). Manufacture parts that conform to the same specification.
- Set up and run CNC lathes (2 axis) in a production environment or CNC mills (3 axis) in a production environment.
- Set up and operate manual lathes or mills
- Set up and operate simple machine tools such as drill presses, manual presses, saws, shears, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the trade as a machinist or toolmaker
- CNC programming experience
- Experience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to use a personal computer
- Position requires use of PPE – Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed
- Proficiency in trigonometry
- Proficient in print reading and inspection, including CMM (milling)

- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
- Requires use of information or access to hardware that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
