The company is seeking a CNC Machinist to join its team.
Education Level
- ONC/HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering
Work Experience
- 4+ years of Manual Machining Experience
- Time Served apprenticeship within a CNC machinist discipline, equivalent to either City and Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3
- Operating a variety of CNC machines
- Familiar with working within a high-productivity machine shop environment.
- Operating a variety of CNC machines

- Multi-Axis CNC Machining Experience
- CNC programming knowledge of Mazatrol and Fanuc controls
Duties/Responsibilities
- Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by the line manager
- Comply with all NOV Company, Quality + HSE policies and procedures.
- Identify problems before production runs, then start and observe machine operation to detect any other malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Load parts utilising overhead lifting equipment, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, de-burring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and cutting tools to be used.
- Perform any other work-related tasks and duties under the business needs
- Perform set-up changes, operate and conduct first article inspections on production runs.
- Read engineering drawings, precision measuring instruments, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements.
- Responsible for producing quality parts on CNC machines in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
- Travel as and when required
