Job Profile
The company is looking for a CNC Machinist who will set up and run jobs on 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines performing close tolerance finishing operations on assigned parts per the established production schedule.
Also, cross-train in manual machining to be able to perform daily tasks as required.
Participate in all continuous improvement activities in the work cell and be part of daily preventative maintenance on the machines.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment with proven mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Preference will be given to applicants with prior machining experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete all required data entry and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Cross-train in manual machining to be able to run jobs as needed.
- Keep the work area neat and clean and store jigs, fixtures, and tools in their designated areas.
- Participate in all required training sessions.
- Participate in designated continuous improvement activities in the work cell and in other areas of the company as requested.
- Perform routine daily cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines as needed.
- Set up and run jobs on CNC machines per assigned production schedule.
- Work with CNC programmers to ensure that timely and accurate programs are ready to run jobs.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the manager

Knowledge-
- CNC machine and manufacturing operations, interpretation of blueprints, engineering drawings, job travelers, and manufacturing instructions.
- Experience in Epicor operating software (a plus)
- Use of a personal computer and measuring equipment-calipers, height gauges, micrometers
