Job Profile

The company is seeking a CNC Machinist to join its team for various manufacturing needs.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma/GED; additional preference is given for Vocational, Technical, and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
• Machine technology educational program

Work Experience

• The candidates should have machining experience or training

Required Qualifications-

• Applicant must be able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions
• Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
• Must be able to work all shifts

Preferred Qualifications-

• Individuals who have completed the Shipbuilding/Marine Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI) program
• Machine technology educational program
• Mazak experience a plus
• Previous experience including setup, operating, with vertical and/or horizontal turning/lathes/mills
• Strong mathematical skills (geometry, trigonometry)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical detail and assembly drawings, including GD&T, weld-joint symbols, and NDT requirements
• Requires the verification of parts and parts configuration to plan requirements using various high tolerance precision measuring tools
• Set up and program editing and operation of CNC milling and turning centers

• Applicant must be a self-starter and will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals
• Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and a team player
• Must be well organized with good problem-solving skills
• Must possess strong mathematical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Strong mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometry

Physical Requirements

• The job required climbing, color vision, crawling, kneeling, light lifting, medium lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and twisting.

Environmental Attributes

• They are acids or alkalis, cold, dry, dusty, fumes, hot, inside, noise, oily, outside, and wet.
