Job Profile

The company is hiring a CNC Machinist (Grinding) who will be responsible for setting up and working on grinding machines to grind internal and external cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal pieces.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of Metal Grinding experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collect and assemble required products.
  • Complete all labor tracking requirements and scan work orders to track labor and part quantities
  • Determine grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used.
  • Determine product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.
  • Grind external or internal cylindrical tapered surfaces.
  • Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Remove metal by the application of abrasives which are bonded to form a rotating wheel.
  • Rough and finish flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces.
  • Willing to work overtime
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read and write English
  • Advanced math skills
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. physically
