Job Profile
The company is looking for a CNC Machinist I who will operate a variety of machinery to fabricate parts to meet close and complex tolerances using tools, including but not limited to, mills, lathes, CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal machines.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalency test or GED
Work Experience
- 6+ months of experience operating various types of manual or CNC machinery (lathes or mills)
- 1+ years of experience in machine operation or manufacturing experience (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Makes mechanical adjustments to machines and tooling to ensure parts meet quantity and quality requirements
- Monitors quantity output and proper operation of mechanical equipment
- Reads drawings and follows production standards.
- Safely operates manual and CNC machinery
- Uses hand tools such as wrenches, air, and electric tools.
- Verifies and audits quality utilizing proper measurement and inspection devices.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to effectively use measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and tape measures
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and work instructions
- Ability to work in a team or independently
- Knowledge of advanced machine operation and mechanical knowledge of machinery.
Work Environment
- This position is in a production environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, moving machinery, and trip hazards where personal protective equipment such as head, eye, hearing, and foot protection, including composite-toed safety shoes, are required.
- This position may be exposed to welding, machining, forming, metal surface treatment, laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other metal working and assembly processes.
- Additional PPE may be required as determined by the environment.
