Job Profile

The company (AstroTek Industries-ATI) is searching for a CNC Machinist II who will handle day-to-day duties that include ensuring the excellence of precision machining of quality products.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Work Experience

• 3+ years of experience working as a CNC Machinist in an aerospace machine shop (preferred)
• Experience with a quality management system; familiarity with AS 9100 process documentation (highly preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe work environment is maintained by utilizing appropriate safety processes and systems.
• Ensures compliance with all OSHA and other state and federal safety and environmental-related rules and regulations are met.
• Identity and separate all nonconforming parts.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment through 5S controls.
• Maintenance of machine, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Observes operation and has the ability to install and change tooling/set gauges.
• Perform secondary operations and inspections, including deburring and cleaning of all parts produced.
• Performs accurate and timely inspections required by the traveler, quality control, and management.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings; utilizing measuring tools.
• Adept at time management and multitasking.
• Thorough written and verbal command of the English language.
