Job Profile
The company (OPW, a Dover Company) is seeking a CNC Maintenance Machinist II who will perform repair, modification, and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machinery, buildings, facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
Troubleshot, repairs, and maintains facility plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- 5+ years of maintenance troubleshooting experience
- CNC machining center experience preferred, including Mazak, Nakamura, Samsung, Okuma, or DMG Mori.
- Experience with electronic wiring/circuits and schematics
- Experience with industrial electrical needs related to machinery
- Experience working with AC/DC Motors/Drives
- Experience working with PLCs
- Willing to learn advanced CNC maintenance techniques.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists in the movement of equipment and furniture as needed.
- Implements the Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, soliciting information from line operators and other production associates, and listening for problems.
- Participate in team meetings as required (safety, problem-solving, etc.)
- Performs basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Performs limited machining operations incidental to repair and maintenance tasks.
- Performs required preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.
- Performs routine and assists with complex troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment and systems. (Requires the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment, and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc.)
- Performs routine preventative maintenance operations such as maintaining an accurate TPM record, lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc., following the manufacturer’s operation and maintenance schedule and guidelines.
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to return to safe operation.
- Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance, determines the nature of the problem, and recommends an appropriate solution.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machinery as well as standard facility systems.
- Uses precision measuring and testing instruments, gauges, power tools, and other hand tools to complete essential functions.
- Work safely and without injury.

Work Environment
- Continuously standing, repetitively grasping, and repetitively using fine manipulation with the hands.
- Exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors.
- Frequently required to work outside and at heights.
- Hand and power tools, ladders, lifts, and computers.
- May frequently require walking, bending, squatting, or twisting as well as repetitively pushing or pulling.
- May occasionally be required to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Performed in a shop environment.
- Required to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
