Job Profile
The company is hiring a CNC Manufacturing Engineer who will provide Engineering support for the manufacturing floor for current product lines and collaborate with our R&D and Product Engineering teams on new product releases.
Reports to the Value Stream Manager.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a college/university (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience in machining, fabrication, and welding (preferred)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Methodology (preferred)
- Experience working in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment, the medical device industry, or a Class II medical device manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience working with, or basic knowledge of, mechanical engineering, electrical systems, or hydraulics.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct product cost estimates and evaluations of alternative production methods.
- Develop facility layouts based on workflow, production requirements, cost, equipment, and Associate safety.
- Develop standard work procedures for production operators and train operators as needed.
- Maintain Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and updates engineering control documents as needed.
- Perform data entry into the AS400 Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
- Provide support as a liaison between Product Engineering and Manufacturing floor to train on new processes, resolve problems, or identify additional requirements to existing processes.
- Research product quality issues and partner with purchasing to resolve problems with suppliers, as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics issues impacting the assembly production line and keep the assigned Value Stream running efficiently.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to travel up to 5% to other US locations, as required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or other relevant computer applications (preferred)
- Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820/211 or other applicable medical device standards (ISO 13485, EUMDR, MDSAP), preferred.
