Job Profile

The company (Waiteco Machine-WCO) is hiring a CNC Manufacturing Engineer II who will follow duties that include the development of machining practices, processes, tooling, programming, and fixturing for all jobs throughout the facility.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing from a college/university
  • Trade/Technical School Certificate program
  • Equivalent experience with some college coursework (required)

Work Experience

  • 10+ years of CNC milling experience (required)
  • 7+ years of production machining experience (required)
  • 5+ years of Mastercam experience (required)
  • Experience in or knowledge of all machining practices, tool design, and GD&T

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adjusts production processes to meet quality standards and production schedules with concurrence from Manufacturing and Quality.
  • Communicates daily with other shifts and departments regarding quality, workload capacity, safety, staffing, and machine/component issues.
  • Defines raw materials needed for purchasing and submits requisition forms.
  • Drives product cost improvements using lean manufacturing tools and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Estimates parts for RFQs in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintains equipment awareness, notifying maintenance of items requiring attention.
  • Maintains the “master” program for parts and ensures only the latest program is used for manufacturing.
  • Processes and programs machine parts and fixtures using CAD/CAM software.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to perform calculations related to discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming.
  • Strong knowledge of reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of ANSI/ASME Y14.5M for GD&T
