The company is searching for a CNC Operator who will set up, adjust, operate, and maintain CNC by exacting dimensional and finish requirements.

Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of CNC experience (required)
- Experience with GD&T
- Prior experience with the operation of high-speed, manual, or semi-automatic production machinery
- Familiar with G&M codes.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Acts in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment
- Assist in determining tooling and fixturing needs
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and conduct that conforms to MagSeal values and culture
- Determine when wheels or tools need replacement
- Identifies and addresses safety concerns and adheres to all safety guidelines
- Inspect faces, heights, and diameters using various metrology equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gages, and drop indicators to determine product conformance.
- Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the router
- Maintain proper documentation of data and collaborate with management and department lead
- Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
- Maintains equipment according to daily and weekly schedules
- Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
- Move machine controls to index workpieces, and adjust machines for pre-selected operational settings.
- Notifies supervisor and other personnel of production problems and assists in identifying and correcting these problems
- Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems.
- Pays close attention to the details of the tasks being performed in the area
- Possess strong self-motivation, and drive and takes initiative to reach goals and target assignments
- Produces assigned parts to specifications while meeting performance standards
- Set up and operate some CNC lathes and mills with minimal supervision.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and write in English
- Acts in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment
- Assures all work is processed in a swift and timely fashion with high-quality result
- Basic tool, machine operator, and blueprint reading knowledge.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
- Holding tight tolerances of between .001” – .005”
- Must have strong math skills.
- Possess strong self-motivation, and drive and takes initiative to reach goals and target assignments
- Proficient in measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, comparators, and all hand tools.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
Physical Requirements
- Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products repetitively.
- Able to stand constantly.
- Able to walk occasionally.
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly.
- Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel occasionally.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for 10 feet occasionally.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 10 lbs. constantly.
- Visual Acuity – Able to see close detail, distance, and colors constantly.
